Three Charged With Terrorism Offences After Palestine Action Edinburgh Demo

Police Scotland have charged two women and a man under the Terrorism Act with supporting a proscribed organisation, Palestine Action, STV News reports. The group was proscribed in June 2025, and the charges relate to a demonstration in Edinburgh. The charges were announced on Friday evening in Scotland. A report is being prepared for prosecutors.

The three were arrested at a protest on Saturday 31 October at Regent Terrace, outside the US consulate in Edinburgh. The demonstration coincided with a similar protest at the US embassy in London, and a report will now be sent to the Procurator Fiscal. No further details of those sought have been released.

Police say enquiries are continuing to identify others seen wearing T-shirts and holding banners in support of the group. The case adds to the ongoing legal and public debate over how the proscription of Palestine Action is being enforced across the United Kingdom. The Crown will decide how the case proceeds.
