Metallica Release Pro-Shot Battery Clip From Las Vegas Sphere Residency
Metallica have shared professionally filmed footage of Battery, the thrashing opener from their 1986 album Master of Puppets, captured at the Las Vegas Sphere. The clip comes from the band's 15 October show during the Life Burns Faster residency, which opened on 1 October and has quickly become one of the most talked-about live runs.
It follows earlier releases of And Justice For All and The Call Of Ktulu, so fans are getting a growing library of high-quality Sphere performances. The residency continues with dates on 5 and 7 November before the band returns for further shows running from January through March 2027, giving latecomers another chance to attend.
The buzz has not been purely musical. Roger Waters called James Hetfield a complete prick after Hetfield made on-stage remarks on 10 October about entertainers trying to influence audiences. That spat has added extra heat around the residency, even as the pro-shot clips keep drawing attention to the scale of the production.
