Paris Jackson Challenges Michael Jackson Estate Accounting Over Jets
Paris Jackson has taken her fight with the Michael Jackson estate to court filings. Her legal team objected to executor John Branca's accounting for 2022, arguing it leaves out details from eighteen estate-owned businesses and fails to explain private-jet spending, plus about 604,850 dollars in unspecified credit card and law firm costs.
The objections also question roughly 3.8 million dollars in legal fees and 9.4 million in executor compensation paid to Branca and the late John McClain. They further claim money was wasted on reshoots for the biopic Michael and ask why more than 440 million dollars sat in low-yield bank accounts.
The estate's representative called the complaints hollow, saying it climbed from five hundred million dollars of debt to three billion in revenue, with the film earning over a billion at the box office. A hearing is set for December 7, where Paris wants the accounting disallowed and a full new one ordered.
