Morfydd Clark cast as Cynthia Lennon in Sam Mendes' Beatles films
Middle-earth royalty is heading to Liverpool, because Rings of Power star Morfydd Clark has been cast as Cynthia Lennon in Sam Mendes' ambitious four-part Beatles biopic project. She has also been explaining to NME why John's first wife mattered so much to his creative genius. It is a real casting coup.
Each of the four films, due in April 2028, tells the story from a different Beatle's viewpoint. Paul Mescal plays McCartney, Harris Dickinson is Lennon, Joseph Quinn is Harrison and Barry Keoghan is Starr, with Saoirse Ronan as Linda McCartney, Anna Sawai as Yoko Ono and Aimee Lou Wood as Pattie Boyd.
They are reported as the first scripted Beatles movies made with full Apple Corps approval. Clark also has Rings of Power season three arriving on Prime Video on 11 November, so a very busy stretch awaits her. Which Beatle's version of the story are you most excited to see? Tell us below.
