Hamilton Rues Difficult Brazil Practice as Ferrari Plan Big Changes
Ferrari left Interlagos on Friday with plenty of homework to do. Sky Sports reports the team were slower than Mercedes, McLaren and Red Bull in practice, with Charles Leclerc about seven tenths off Kimi Antonelli's pace in the second session and Lewis Hamilton nearly half a second adrift of the leaders.
Leclerc called it one of the worst feelings in the car this year and said he plans significant car setup changes. Hamilton said second practice proved more difficult because he struggled to get his tyres into the right temperature window, a problem that cost him valuable lap time during the session.
Weather could add to the challenge. Rain is forecast for Saturday's qualifying, which starts at 6pm UK time, and Sunday's race is expected to be cold. Ferrari will need to find answers very quickly if Hamilton and Leclerc are to fight at the very front in Sao Paulo this weekend.
