AC Milan Stunned 2-0 by Ferencvaros as Lenny Joseph Scores Twice

AC Milan suffered a damaging 2-0 Europa League defeat at San Siro to Ferencvaros, with Lenny Joseph scoring both goals. Joseph struck in the 52nd minute after a poor back-pass from Koni De Winter, then added a second roughly fourteen minutes later on a counter-attack set up by Kristoffer Zachariassen.

Milan goalkeeper Lorenzo Torriani made his first senior start, while Ferencvaros substitute Bamidele Yusuf was sent off late on without any real consequence. The Hungarian side are unbeaten in 20 games under Balazs Borbely and have won all four league-phase matches, their first run of four straight European wins since 1968.

For Milan the picture is bleak. They have only three points and sit 28th, outside the top 24 and the knockout places, in what Flashscore calls their worst start to a European league phase or group stage. The loss came despite their 3-1 Serie A derby win over Inter on October 31.
