Melissa Rycroft Charged With DWI After Alleged Ambulance Collision
A former Bachelor franchise star is facing serious new legal trouble. Melissa Rycroft was allegedly involved in a crash with an ambulance before her DWI arrest, according to Southlake police. They say an ambulance stopped at a stop sign was hit on Saturday night, and the driver allegedly left before being found shortly afterward.
Rycroft was charged with DWI as a second offense, an accident causing more than 200 dollars in damage, and driving with an invalid license. Bonds were set at 7,500 dollars, 1,000 dollars and 500 dollars respectively. These are allegations, and charges are not a finding of guilt in any court of law.
The arrest follows an earlier case. In August she was sentenced over a 2025 DWI to twenty months of probation, roughly 2,000 dollars in fines and costs, thirty-six hours of community service, and a DWI education course. The new charges arrive just months after that sentence, putting fresh attention on her legal situation.
